Mountain bike trails and country road routes
Port Hope is a destination for cyclists! We're right on the shore of Lake Ontario with a beautiful river that runs through our downtown plus we have rolling countryside for touring. Bring the family for biking on trails that start in our heritage downtown and wind down to the waterfront and beyond. Come make a day of it!
Port Hope is a destination for cyclists with its rolling countryside for touring – try the Glorious Ganaraska cycling route.
The Ganaraska Forest Centre has trails for all levels - run 4km to 16km at the centre, and you'll also find racing events if you're game to compete. We like our fresh-air fitness!
Cyclists often arrive here by the Great Lakes Waterfront Trail that stretches over 2,100km along the Canadian shores of our waterways and connects 114 communities and hundreds of parks and natural areas.
Close to Home, Far from Ordinary
